Delighted to be supporting a well-known top-tier law firm in recruiting for a Business Analysis Manager. The role will lead and manage a team of both permanent and contract Business Analysts who form part of the Projects and Change Delivery Team alongside Project and Change Management.
The Business Analysis team are a strong, supportive and inclusive team, working on global technology and change projects and programmes in close collaboration with lawyers and other Business Teams such as HR, Marketing and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for all aspects of team management, both of permanent members of the team and contingent workers.
- Work with the Head of Projects and Change Delivery to implement the Business Analysis vision and strategy that supports the technology function and firm at large.
- Ensure effective allocation of the team to projects, based on capacity, skills and development areas, setting up team members for success upon receiving new project assignments
- Ensure that the team are supported to deliver their responsibilities effectively by coaching, mentoring and leading by example on projects and initiatives; proactively manage performance and give feedback enabling the team to develop their skills and techniques
- Lead the recruitment for Business Analysis as required to ensure the right talent is in place, now and for the future in accordance to the firms’ organisational and project goals, including mitigating attrition risk and considering succession plans
- Promote the value of Business Analysis across the firm and why the role is pivotal to the successful outcome of a project/initiative
- Support the team in the resolution of issues and challenges as required and / or escalate to the Head of Projects and Change Delivery as needed, ensuring regular, open communication.
- Take ownership for and continue to develop and implement a Business Analysis best practice that supports the firm in the delivery of projects.
- Work closely with others across Projects and Change Delivery, to ensure a cohesive and well-aligned broader team.
- The role may need to undertake Business Analysis activities alongside management responsibilities
Experience sought:
- Several years’ experience operating as a Business Analyst manager with a good understanding of Business Analysis tools, techniques and methods.
- Experience of managing and motivating a team of Business Analysts to deliver great outcomes across a wide range of high-profile projects and programmes
- Experience of working across a wide range of projects, including SaaS, infrastructure, in-house development.
- Commercially minded with an ability to handle competing priorities effectively, demonstrating leadership closely aligned to the firm’s culture and values of integrity, excellence, and respect.
- Experience of leading diverse teams, enabling individuals and the team to achieve their career potential.
- Ability to provide direction and technical leadership to the team on complex, high-impact projects in all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring best practice is followed.
- Strong experience of Business Analysis methods and techniques with a pragmatic approach to their application to projects and programmes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with team members and senior stakeholders
The role is based at the London office and is a hybrid role with 3 days in the office..
